FAQ

How much does oven and range repair cost in Charlotte, NC?+

Most oven and range repairs in Charlotte fall between $170 and $480 including our flat $80 service call, credited toward the repair if you approve. Bake elements, broil elements, and igniters are on the lower end. Control boards, gas valve assemblies, and high-end Wolf, Viking, or Thermador work runs higher. You get a firm written quote before we touch anything.

Why won't my oven heat or hold temperature?+

On electric ovens the usual suspects are a failed bake or broil element (you'll often see a visible break or burn spot), a bad oven temperature sensor, or a failed control board relay. On gas ovens it's typically a weak igniter that no longer pulls enough current to open the gas safety valve. We test the heat circuit and sensor calibration on site and complete the repair the same visit when parts are common.

Do you repair Wolf, Viking, Thermador, and other luxury ranges?+

Yes — high-end range repair is one of our specialties. We service Wolf, Viking, Thermador, Sub-Zero, Miele, JennAir, Monogram, Dacor, Bertazzoni, and BlueStar gas and dual-fuel ranges across Charlotte. We carry common igniters, spark modules, and infrared broilers for these brands and source specialty parts within 1–3 business days when needed.

What does an F-code or error code on my oven mean?+

Most F-codes (F1, F2, F3, etc.) point to a specific failure — temperature sensor (RTD probe) faults, control board failures, latch motor errors during self-clean, or door switch faults. Whirlpool, KitchenAid, GE, and Frigidaire all use slightly different code charts. Tell us the brand, model, and code when you book and we'll often have the part on the truck.

My self-clean cycle locked the door and now the oven is dead. Can you fix it?+

Yes — this is one of the most common oven calls we run in Charlotte. Self-clean cycles regularly burn out thermal fuses, door latch motors, and control boards because of the extreme heat. We diagnose the failed component, replace it, unlock the door, and recommend skipping self-clean in the future (manual cleaning is dramatically easier on the appliance).

Do you repair gas cooktops and induction cooktops?+

Yes. We service gas cooktops (igniters, spark modules, gas valves, regulator assemblies) and electric/induction cooktops (touch controls, induction generator boards, surface elements) from every major brand including Bosch, Samsung, GE, Frigidaire, Wolf, Thermador, Miele, KitchenAid, and Whirlpool. Induction cooktop repairs require specialty diagnostics — we have the equipment and training.
