FAQ
How much does washing machine repair cost in Charlotte?+
Most washer repairs in Charlotte run $160–$420 including our flat $80 service call, which is credited toward the repair if you approve it. Drain pumps, door boots, and lid switches sit on the low end; control boards, transmissions, and direct-drive motors on Samsung, LG, and Maytag units run higher. You get a firm written quote before any work starts.
Why won't my washer drain or spin?+
The top three causes we find in Charlotte homes are a clogged drain pump (usually a sock, coin, or hair), a broken lid switch or door latch on front-loaders, and a worn drive belt or motor coupler. On Samsung and LG front-loaders, it's often a damaged door interlock throwing a DC, DE, or LE error code. We test the pump, sensors, and control board on site and complete most of these jobs in one visit.
Do you fix front-load washer leaks and door boot tears?+
Yes — front-load door boot replacement, drain pump leaks, and tub seal failures are routine for our Charlotte techs. We service Whirlpool, Maytag, Samsung, LG, Bosch, Electrolux, GE, and Speed Queen front-loaders. Door boot jobs typically run $220–$340 installed and take 60–90 minutes on site. We carry common door boots for the most popular models so most of these are one-visit repairs.
What does it mean when my washer shakes violently or walks across the floor?+
Excessive shaking usually means worn shock absorbers, broken suspension rods (common on top-load HE units), or a failed counterweight. On front-loaders it can also be the spider arm behind the drum. Run an unbalanced-load test first — if it shakes even on a small balanced load, you've got a hardware failure that needs service before the tub damages the cabinet. We diagnose suspension on site and quote on the spot.
Can you decode my washer's error code?+
Yes. We diagnose error codes on every major brand daily — Whirlpool F-codes, Samsung DC/DE/LE/SE codes, LG OE/UE/IE codes, Maytag F-series, GE diagnostic codes, and Bosch E-codes. Bring the code with you when you book and we'll often have the part on the truck. Codes only narrow the suspect list — proper diagnosis still requires testing the actual sensor or board, which we do at the flat $80 service call.
Do you repair stackable and stack washer/dryer units?+
Yes. We service stackable washer/dryer combos and full stack laundry units for Charlotte homes, condos, and multi-family properties. We work on Whirlpool, GE, LG, Samsung, Speed Queen, and Frigidaire stack units. We bring straps and a partner tech when the unit needs to come down for back-panel access — no extra fee.
